In response to the massive killing of Palestinian civilians and the near total destruction of Gaza, we propose a church-wide educational initiative on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, to deepen our understanding of the historical circumstances leading up to this conflict.
While we acknowledge that this conflict was born out of a historical context of fear and suffering for both Israelis and Palestinians, our purpose is to advocate that people of faith work for a just resolution that respects the humanity and autonomy of the Palestinian people.
