Rainbow Theology: Bridging Race, Sexuality and Spirit

In this study of Patrick S. Cheng’s book by the same name, we will reflect upon the theological significance of the intersections of race and queer sexuality by examining the theological writings of LGBTQIA2S+ people of color across multiple ethnic and cultural groups.
Reading the book is encouraged but not necessary to attend the study. Copies of the book are available, contact Joe Smith joe@fumcpittsburgh.org.

Rev. Anaïs Hussian is a United Methodist Deacon and the Community Chaplain of Abiding Mission. She chairs First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA2S+ Ministry Team.
Dr. Joe Smith is the Director of Spiritual Formation at First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh and he teaches theology and ethics at Duquesne University.
