The holiday season means many things to many different people. It is often a time of sacred celebration, storytelling, festivity, and gift giving. For many, it is a time of warmth and joy. And yet, for some, it is a time when we encounter grief and loss. Loss of loved ones who once shared these warm memories with us, grief from estrangements, or just a sense of disconnection from one another, are some of the many reasons why the holiday season can be a somber journey. If you are feeling the need to come together, to be comforted and to comfort others, to share in the gentle embers of the warmth of understanding friends and the spirit of Christ's compassion, then please join us on December 3rd at 7pm in the Chapel for a Blue Christmas gathering. There will be candles, music, words of wisdom, and warm cider/hot chocolate.
